The Syrian Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority has announced that imported mobile devices must support 4G/LTE or newer networks. Devices that only support 2G or 3G will no longer receive import approval from 1 October 2026. Older 2G and 3G services will also be phased out gradually.
