[Brazil] ANATEL Reduces Allowed 6 GHz Band for Wi-Fi Devices

The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) in Brazil published Ato. N° 10.400/2026, which changes technical requirements for Wi-Fi devices that operate in the 6 GHz frequency band. Previously, the 5925-7125 MHz frequency band was allowed for Wi-Fi devices. Starting March 1, 2027, it will be mandatory for devices to adapt to the new allowed range of 5925-6425 MHz. Equipment that already has a valid CoC before March 1, 2027, may adapt to the new technical requirements during the renewal process. Equipment with certification in-progress may or may not consider the new rules, and must have the band adjusted starting March 1, 2027. The Act is now in effect.
