Ecuador has merged the Ministerio de Telecomunicaciones y Sociedad de la Información (Mintel) and the Ministerio de Infraestructura y Transporte (MIT) into the Ministerio de Infraestructura y Tecnología (MIT). The Agencia de Regulación y Control de las Telecomunicaciones (ARCOTEL) remains unchanged in its structure and function.
