The Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) of Mongolia published the renewed Type Approval Regulation on March 26, 2026. Main changes to the regulation include:
- LoAs are now required for the local representative.
- The Test Report validity requirement has changed from 6 years to no limit (indefinite).
- Instead of issuing a renewed CoC every 3 years, CRC will instead issue a New Certificate every 3 years with a new issue date. The certificate number will remain the same.
- Previously, the Type Approval Board Meeting was held twice per month. Now a qualified specialist will make an evaluation, and the CEO will sign the CoC.
- Required documents remain unchanged.
Renewal certificates will not have their expiration dates extended.
Their issue dates will be changed to the approved date.
