[Korea] Korea Simplifies Testing Requirements for 6 GHz Wireless Devices

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of Korea has recently issued a notification to simplify the testing requirements for indoor wireless devices operating in the 5925-7125 MHz (6 GHz) frequency band.

Based on RRA’s technical review, the following measures have been implemented to reduce testing burden and improve efficiency:

  1. Conditions for Single-Band Testing
As the 5925-7125 MHz band is not subdivided for indoor use, devices with a power spectral density (PSD) below 2 dBm/MHz may be tested as a single frequency band.
  2. Integrated Testing for Indoor and Subway Use
For devices designed for both indoor and subway environments, manufacturers may apply the more stringent out-of-band emission limits for subway use to meet all requirements, thereby eliminating the need for separate indoor-specific testing.
