[Thailand] Thailand NBTC Postpones Electrical Safety Requirements for SDoC Applications for 2.4 / 5 GHz and Bluetooth Devices

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand has recently updated its position on electrical safety requirements for SDoC applications for 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz and Bluetooth devices.

Previously, NBTC had announced that effective February 1, 2026, all 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz and Bluetooth devices applying for SDoC would be required to submit electrical safety test reports.

However, taking into consideration feedback from importers and manufacturers that this measure would have a significant impact on the industry, NBTC has decided, following internal evaluation, to postpone the implementation of the aforementioned requirement.
