[Indonesia] DJID Includes 2.6 GHz Band in Revised LTE and IMT Standard

Direktorat Jenderal Infrastruktur Digital (DJID) of Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital (Komdigi) in Indonesia revised KM Komdigi No. 352/2024, Technical Standards for Telecommunications Devices and/or Mobile Telecommunications Devices Based on the Long Term Evolution Technology Standard and the International Mobile Telecommunications Technology Standard – 2020. This revised version includes:

  • The addition of the 4G/5G technical standards in the 2.6 GHz frequency band (b41/n41)
  • The addition of technical standards for 5G repeaters
  • The addition of unwanted emission parameters for base stations that operate in the 850 MHz frequency band (b5/n5)
  • Testing may be conducted once new regulations are in effect
  • Previously certified devices that will activate b41 will need to be recertified
  • A 1-month grace period for KM KOMDIGI No. 352/2024 to be revoked after the new regulation is released
