Recently, the Communications and Media Commission (CMC) of Iraq officially issued the Regulation on Short-Range Devices (SRD) and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology Equipment, which came into effect on 22 September 2025.
The regulation opens the 6 GHz band (5945–6425 MHz) for indoor Wireless Access Systems (such as Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7), with a maximum transmit power limit of 200 mW, and the technical requirements are based on the EN 303 687 standard.
