India’s WPC (Wireless Planning and Coordination) certification is a mandatory Equipment Type Approval (ETA) for importing, selling, and using wireless and radio devices in India. Wi-Fi 6E certification is not yet mandatory under WPC, and the implementation of the 6 GHz band regulation is still pending formal approval. The expected operating band is 5925–6425 MHz, but officer recommend continuing to monitor DoT(Department of Telecommunications)/WPC notifications for the final enforcement date.
