INACOM has implemented stricter internal security measures to prevent the circulation of fraudulent approval certificates. In response to recent fraud incidents, Instituto Angolano das Comunicações (INACOM) has temporarily paused the review of all certificates and now requires full compliance with regulatory procedures. Applicants must ensure that Letters of Authorization are valid and complete, and that renewal submissions include the correct company name and tax ID. The agency is strictly enforcing these rules to protect the credibility of the approval process.
INACOM has issued important updates to the application process for new applications and renewals in order to protect the Type Approval system’s integrity and prevent fraudulent practices. Updates include the following items:
- Effective immediately, INACOM requires a mandatory due diligence check to verify the authenticity of existing certificates within its internal system prior to submission for renewal. Only after this is verified may renewal documents be submitted for INACOM approval.
- Local agents are now required to perform a due diligence review of all documents submitted by the applicant for new applications. Applications will undergo a document compliance check prior to being officially submitted to INACOM.
- Delays may be expected during the ANGOTIC 2025 event for processing and issuing new approvals. Once the event has concluded, regular processing activities will resume.
