The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) in Brazil has approved listing the “802.11be” or “Wi-Fi 7” nomenclatures on certificates in Brazil. In the past, Wi-Fi 7 testing and approval was allowed but CoCs could not list “Wi-Fi 7” or “802.11be.” Devices that use Wi-Fi 7 / 802.11be technology will be allowed to designate this terminology on their CoCs once the official IEEE 802.11be standard is released. Guidelines for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 testing may be found in Ato 14448.
