The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced the activation of the 6 GHz band to support Wi-Fi 6E technology on May 16, 2024.
However, the authority has recently updated the details regarding the usage of the frequency band, with key points summarized as follows:
- Allowed Frequency Band: 5.925-6.425 GHz
- Output Power Limits: Up to 23 dBm for indoor use, and up to 14 dBm for outdoor use
It is worthy to notice that the Pakistan authorities have released applications for certificate revisions, allowing equipment that are already certified but have not applied for the 6 GHz frequency band to be updated to comply with the latest 6 GHz frequency band standards.
