On 3 November 2023, Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Document No. 7750/BCT-TKNL on the application of Vietnamese Standards for energy efficiency testing and energy labelling.
Along with the document, the Ministry issued a list of Vietnamese standards applicable to performance testing and energy labelling.
It is to be noted that, from 1 April 2025 refrigerators, freezers, hobs, induction cookers, storage water heaters, ductless air conditioners, televisions, laptops and boilers used in industrial enterprises must be tested and evaluated for energy efficiency according to the new versions of the applicable standards indicated below.

Standard to apply until 1 April 2025: TCVN 11848 : 2017
Standard to apply after 1 April 2025: TCVN 11848 : 2021
This document should be read and applied in conjunction with Decision No. 14/2023/QD-TTg, establishing a roadmap for the prohibition of inefficient energy-using products in Vietnam.
