Bureau of Indian Standard has released guidelines for Parallel Testing for Mobile Phones on 19th December 2022. Later on along with Mobile Phones two more products were added to the list- Wireless Earphone and Headphones, Laptop/Notebook/Tablet. Now this Pilot project is converted into a Permanent Scheme and now BIS has decided that “All the product Categories” under CRS Scheme can opt for Parallel Testing. Parallel testing is Voluntary in Nature, and the manufacturer will still have the option to process with submitting sequential applications.
