TRC Updates Short-Range Equipment Regulations The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan has recently updated the second edition of short-range equipment regulations, which is now in immediate effect. The key changes include:
- For sensing devices, the addition of the frequency range 26,957 – 27,283 KHz.
- For sensing devices, the addition of the frequency range 27,090 – 27,100 KHz.
- For wireless microphones, the addition of the frequency range 174 – 216 MHz.
- For wireless microphones, the addition of the frequency range 470 – 694 MHz.
- For radio frequency identification, the addition of the frequency range 2,446 – 2,454 MHz (500 mW – 4 W).
- The addition of the frequency range 24.25 – 26.65 GHz (for transportation and remote information processing).
- The removal of the frequency range 865 – 868 MHz (500 mW, EN 303 659).
- The removal of the frequency range 870 – 874.4 MHz.
- The removal of the frequency range 915 – 919.4 MHz.
- Modification of the restrictions on the frequency range 5,250 – 5,350 MHz to allow indoor and outdoor use.
- The removal of the frequency range 57 – 71 GHz (for outdoor fixed installations).
