ENACOM published today resolution 756/2023 (attached), where finally allocates officially the 6GHz band for Wi-Fi services.
In summary:
- Allocated band is on the 5925-7125 MHz portion of spectrum.
- Band is restricted for indoor use only, both private and for the provision of ICT services.
- Devices using this band are allowed to be approved from now on in Argentina.
- Max power:
- Access Points or Slave Devices: EIRP of 30 dBm and EIRP spectral density of 5 dBm/MHz.
- Client devices: EIRP of 24 dBm and EIRP spectral density of -1 dBm/MHz.
- Devices using this band is prohibited in vehicles (car, trains, boats and planes). Will be allowed only on aircrafts when they are flying above 10.000 feet.
- This allocation is effective from May 24, 2023.
