The Korean National Radio Research Agency (RRA) issued Notice No. 531 on April 17, 2023, along with Amendment No. 2023-6 dated April 18, 2023. revision as following:
- Requirement for manufacturing date information: Manufacturers need to provide manufacturing year and month information that consumers can easily identify.
For example, this information can be indicated through a product batch number (Lot number), and if consumers are unable to identify the manufacturing date, it should be clearly stated in the product manual, external packaging, or product website.
- For certified products which under certification type, RRA allows addition new function of wireless equipment can do technical modification change.
For example: The original laptop computer certificate is according to Wi-Fi 6 (2.4GHz, 5GHz frequency band), if you want to add wireless function Wi-Fi 6e (6GHz frequency band) (equipment code: LARN5B), it can apply for modification change after April 18, 2023.
- Examples of cannot accept modification technical change case:Original certified wireless product which under registration type, such as RFID wireless equipment (13.56MHz), if you want to add wireless function RFID (900MHz) function, since 900MHz belongs to the category of certification type, so, it cannot accept to do modification, in other words, products which were certified as registration type cannot be accepted to change to certification type, need to apply for a new case.
