Saudi Arabia regulatory authority(CITC) issued decree No. 235 dated 07/04/1444H , announced that CITC will be renamed CST from November 10, 2022.
This change will affect the electronic label requirements. All equipment under the GEN002 technical specification must change the electronic label to the CST mark. The key requirements are as follows:
- All new mobile phones in the future must add CST electronic labels
- For the mobile phones that have been produced, the manufacturer must update the built-in CITC electronic label to the CST electronic label, and provide the update schedule to CST
- Detailed requirements will be announced after the official update of the GEN002 technical specification
- Which transferring the space regulatory sectors to the Commission, and change its title to Communications, Space & Technology Commission, recognizing the importance of integration of communications, space and technology.
