The Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC) of Peru is no longer accepting the TAC (Type Allocation Code) of cellular radio modules for the type approval process of mobile terminal equipment. Currently, the TAC must match the brand and model number listed on the GSMA registration in order to complete the type approval process. The change was brought forth by the implementation of the Single Text of Administrative Procedures (TUPA), approved by Supreme Decree No. 009-2022-MTC and Errata, and by virtue of literal d) of numeral 8.1 of article 8 of Supreme Decree No. 019-2019-MTC.
