Enclosed find latest Res 1985 update released just today in the Official Gazette. It basically told that it is necessary to adjust the frequency bands of the technology called WiFi 6 in the regulations, in order to await the decision on international harmonization that will be made at the next World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-23), indicated in point 1.2. of the Agenda for said meeting.
Updates are:
Point h): 2.4GHz has been removed for medical appliances and now they are covered by the point j.1) (Max EIRP 1W).
Point i): vehicle radars ‘Conducted power of 10mW, and antennas with maximum gain of 40dB’ is replaced by ‘Max EIRP limit 50 dBm).
Point j.1): where it is said ‘that operates in the frequency band of 5925-7125MHz’ it now must say ‘that operates in the frequency band of 5925-6425MHz’
The update for point j.1) is by far the most important modification to the Res 1985 due to it affects the applications we are doing using 6GHz FCC reports. However, since now on forth we can only use CE reports for 6GHz until the WRC-23 come to happen.
