[Argentina] Argentina ENACOM Issues New Labeling Requirements

Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) in Argentina published a Note on August 11, 2022, which announced the end of the transition period to adapt to the new labeling scheme for ENACOM approved devices established by Resolución 854 on August 6, 2020. As of August 12, 2022, all new applications must use the Registro de Actividades y Materiales de Telecomunicaciones (RAMATEL) draft label for submission. Previously, renewal applications required a photo of the product with a CNC ID. Now, renewal applications require a photo with the CNC ID and a RAMATEL draft label. Manufacturers will have to move to the RAMATEL labeling system within 3 years, until the next renewal at which point a photo with the RAMATEL marking will be required. Products already in Argentina, or products that have been previously approved under the CNC ID labeling scheme may still be sold with the CNC ID. Products that are already labeled with the CNC ID do not require a new RAMATEL label.
