Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUTEL) in Costa Rica has issued RCS-311-2020 that temporarily removes the Apostille convention stamped documents requirement for registration of new companies in the SUTEL online portal, in order to submit applications for cellular equipment. The suspension of the requirement is due to the difficulty to obtain Apostille convention stamped documents during the COVID-19 pandemic and is valid for 6 months with possible extension if the COVID-19 situation does not improve.
