Bilgi Teknolojileri ve İletişim Kurumu (BTK) has halted all type approval applications as they reconsider the type approval process in Turkey. BTK should be reaching a decision shortly regarding if they will continue issuing type approval letters, or accept RED compliance / CE marking for all products entering Turkey. If BTK stops issuing type approvals, local importers would be responsible for maintaining valid Turkish user manuals and product labels inline with local regulations.
