Background .
Initially the preliminary position on the 5G allocation is 700 MHz, 2300 MHz and 2600 MHz bands, which included proposals on the optimum bandwidth, the award mechanism, and the timelines for the assignment of these bands.
But after all the investigation and discussion.
Upon taking into account all relevant inputs, MCMC has decided on the following:
- The frequency bands identified for the roll out of 5G (“5G pioneer bands”) are as follows:
- 700 MHz band;
- 3.4 GHz to 3.6 GHz (“3.5 GHz band”); and
- 24.9 GHz to 28.1 GHz (“26/28 GHz bands”).
- The use of 2300 MHz and 2600 MHz bands will be maintained per existing allocation until 31 December 2021 and the allocation of these bands will be reviewed prior to their expiry
The technical process are still not yet been firm .But initial decision is as per stated above.
We will updates when the final confirmation on technical requirements.
