NBTC had release the following standards and notification on 12th November 2019.
The standards will be mandate start from 12th November 2019
NBTC TS 1035-2562 Radiocommunication equipment using 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz
Notes :
- This will be replaced the old NTC TS 1012-2551 RLAN standards.
- It also provide an NBTC Notification on the usage of Short Range Devices in the band 5 GHz conjunction with the new standards.
Summary of changes are as below.
- New standard NBTC TS 1035-2562 specify version of EN test standard (e.g. EN300328 V2.1.1, EN301893 V2.1.1., EN302502 V2.1.1, ETSI TS 136104/ETSI TS 136101) v13.2.0. For new applications, we have to submit test reports with correct version.
- Frequency of 5.725-5.850GHz:
1. Allow additional standard EN302502 for this frequency band (previously this test standard was not allowed).
2. Previously NBTC temporary accept EN 300 440 even the previous standards did not mentioned this standards. But Now EN 300 440 is not acceptable for this frequency range.
- Allow additional technology of LTE under private network or LTE under IMT. This is the same bands with LTE band 46 which has been opened previously. NBTC includes both technologies onto this new standard because they are using 5 GHz frequency.
- Electrical safety requirements
1. Allow additional standard IEC62368-1 (previously this standard only accept TIS1561-2556 or IEC60950-1).
This is as same as previously announced NBTC TS 4001-2561 Electrical Safety which allowed IEC62368-1 on March 14, 2019. NBTC updated this test standard to accept the same way.
