Brazil ANATEL published Resolution 715, the new regulation on the certification process for telecommunication devices. Resolution 715 replaces Resolutions 242 and 323 which were being used since 2000 and 2002 respectively. ANATEL gave a 6 month period for the implementation of Res. 715, except for two items which will start to be applied immediately:
1.A Market Surveillance Process will be implemented where samples will be collected locally. ANATEL is still going to issue an Operational Instruction explaining in detail how this will work.
There are several other changes outlined in the new Resolution, but they do not have a big impact on current processes and processes to be started in the near future.
