Project Description

Introduction to CE certification

European Qualification Certifications Most products sold in the European Economic Area (EEA) require the CE mark. This symbol indicates that the product manufacturer or service provider has ensured that the product complies with the appropriate European Union Directive and that the appropriate evaluation procedures have been completed. Relevant EU directives include instructions such as toy safety and machine tools. There are currently about 25 orders requiring the product to be printed with the CE mark.

Since the appearance of the CE mark in 1995, the CE mark has always symbolized the product’s compliance with EU law, regardless of where it is produced in the world, and allows the product to be freely circulated in the European Economic Area. The CE mark is planned as a market surveillance measure and has executive credibility. The CE mark indicates that the product complies with all relevant directives of the European Commission. For example, most electronic products must comply with low voltage directives and electromagnetic compatibility. The CE mark does not indicate that the product is produced by the European Economic Area. The manufacturer’s CE mark on the product indicates that the product complies with all relevant requirements of the European Commission (such as safety, health, environmental protection, etc.) and has been verified by a third-party notified body.

The CE mark is a self-certification program that indicates that the production process of the product or the required third-party test is the responsibility of the manufacturer or the importer and is criminally liable. The official will conduct sampling inspections from time to time. If there is any problem with the product, penalties can be imposed, including recycling of products, fines and even imprisonment.
